Open a book and ask for context from the place you are already reading. Recaps stream into the reader, are saved to your history, and fall back to a deterministic recap when cloud AI is unavailable.

Before you join

A few practical answers.

What happens to your books, what works offline, and where Storyteller launches first.

Is my book content private?

Storyteller keeps a local copy of each imported EPUB for reading. When you request AI context, it sends only retrieved text from before your current reading position to the configured AI service. Production retention and training terms will be published before launch.

Does it work offline?

Imported EPUBs can be read from the on-device library. AI recaps currently need a connection; if the cloud model is unavailable but the Storyteller API is reachable, the API can return a deterministic fallback recap.

What will it cost?

Pricing has not been announced. Everyone on the waitlist will get the details before launch.

What platforms?

Storyteller is launching on Android first through Google Play. iOS timing has not been announced.
